Data Processing Addendum (Summary)

Last updated

This is a plain-English summary of how Azul Services (Azul-Services, LLC) processes personal data for business customers who use ProbeKit. It applies alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Full DPA on request. Ask through the contact form with your organization’s legal name and we’ll send the complete Data Processing Addendum, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum, ready to sign.

Scope and roles

When you use ProbeKit for your business, some of what you give us is personal data: your team members’ names and email addresses, alert recipients, IP addresses in DMARC reports and monitor results, and any email addresses or headers in text you paste. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor. We process it only to provide ProbeKit as you configure and use it, and on your documented instructions (these terms and your settings).

What we commit to

  • Confidentiality: everyone with access to customer data is bound to keep it confidential.
  • Security: the technical and organizational measures described on our Security page, kept up to date.
  • Assistance: we help you answer data-subject requests and with security reviews and data protection impact assessments.
  • Breaches: we notify you without undue delay, and within 72 hours of confirming a personal data breach that affects your data, with what we know and what we are doing about it.
  • Deletion: data you delete, or your whole account, is removed from the live service at once. Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten (see the Privacy Policy).
  • Audits: we answer reasonable security questionnaires and share relevant documentation once a year, or after a breach.

Sub-processors

Everything else (hosting, storage, email delivery and backups) runs on our infrastructure in the United States, operated by Azul Services. We tell paying customers by email at least 30 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor, and you can object; if we can’t address the objection you may cancel and receive a refund of prepaid fees for the remaining period.

International transfers

ProbeKit is operated from the United States and processes data there. For customers in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, transfers are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum in the full DPA.
